The building
This is a guide to the complex our condo sits in — not a pitch for the condo. If you searched the building by name, here is the plain version: what it is, what is shared, and what we are still confirming.
Whispering Seas is an aparthotel complex of 32 units on the north coast of Jamaica, in Tower Isle, St. Mary — the stretch of shore between Ocho Rios and Oracabessa. It has its own front desk and management, and individual units are listed across the booking platforms by their separate owners.
Our unit is one of those — a single, independently-owned condo inside the complex. We describe where it sits; we do not speak for the building's management, and we are not part of it.
There are 2 pools, and both are shared with the rest of the complex. Neither is private to any unit — if a listing here tells you otherwise, it is wrong. One is a freshwater pool; the other is a sea-water pool fed from the shore.
The sea pool is drained and refilled on a schedule for maintenance. We are confirming the current cadence with the owner before we print it, so we are not quoting a number here yet. A fuller guide to the pools follows once that is verified.
The condo is on the 3rd floor, and there is no elevator — it is a walk-up, stairs only (elevator: None, confirmed with the owner). This building's reviews are full of amenities that turned out not to exist, so we would rather say it plainly: if stairs are hard for anyone in your party, this is not the unit, and we would rather lose the booking than surprise you at the door.
It is genuinely on the water — oceanfront, not "ocean view across a road." The coast here is rock and small coves rather than a long resort beach, which is why the shared sea pool matters and why we are careful about beach claims. The nearest public beach, Reggae Beach, currently rates poorly and may be closed; we will not send you there until someone has walked it.
